The session took place in South Carolina at Anne Springs Greenway. I wish I had known about this location when I lived nearby. I feel like I could take photos here dozens of times and still get different, exciting results with each session. We only covered a small portion of the grounds this time so that Paige didn't have to walk too far. It was a beautiful day!
If you've ever done a session with me, you'll know that I get really excited when I see pretty light. That was this moment.
There were a few log cabins on site and one of them was Billy Graham's grandfather's. So incredibly cool, right?
I love it when clients come to shoots with ideas of their own. Paige sent me a few pictures of things she had seen on Pinterest a few days before the shoot, so I copied them onto my phone and had them handy for inspiration. We didn't copy photos exactly, of course, but the feel of them gave me a good idea of what they wanted their photos to look like. Not every photographer is ok with this method, but I kind of love it! As long as the expectation is not that I copy someone else's work, it's a great way to know that you are just as excited for the shoot as I am!
It was her idea to do a few shots barefoot. These next images might be my favorite from the session, but there were so many great ones it's hard to choose.
