The Aldrich Mansion was absolutely gorgeous, boasting multiple rooms for dining instead of one huge space. It afforded the guests to have a more intimate dining experience and then join together for dancing and toasts. It also gave Alexis the unique opportunity to decorate each room slightly differently.
These guys were a riot. They requested this photo specifically and I hope they love it!
Alexis looked radiant. She's the head of programming at The Food Network, but I'm thinking she should consider a second career as a model. In a few photos, she reminds me of a young Barbara Streisand.
This next set of photos were taken after sunset with no flash. The reception ran a bit behind, but Alexis and Brad had planned a very special first dance and wanted it to be on the back patio even though the light had left us. The coordinator came up to us in a slight panic, but we reassured her that we could handle this kind of situation. I think the images came out wonderfully and hope you agree.
NOTE: If you are a bride-to-be and are contemplating hiring a friend or beginner for your wedding day, this is a perfect reason to reconsider. Any less experience, equipment, and talent would have resulted in dark, grainy, unattractive photos during a time like this. Scroll down to see an image of three female guests laughing and smiling. The next photo of the back of the castle was taken within 2 minutes of the first. Both photos don't portray properly how dark it truly was out there, but the second gives you a better idea!
Brad serenaded Alexis in front of their friends and family. He did an amazing job and brought Alexis to tears with his gesture. Ah, sweet love!
I loved this wedding! I also had the best time ever photographing it with the amazing Zev.
